Veterans Support Network Inc. has worked with several great sports teams in the past two years while in development. We have had partnerships with the Indianapolis Colts, and the Indy Fuel hockey team! We are looking for amazing organizations to grow with our charity. This will give us greater opportunities to support our veterans. We are currently working on building relationships with sports teams in Ohio and Michigan as well.

FROM IDEA TO REALITY:
THE EVOLUTION OF VETERANS SUPPORT NETWORK INC.

March 26, 2024

Veterans Support Network Inc. started as a dream!
The charity president retired from the military in August 2017.  At the time he had a successful delivery company. However, that all changed in August 2018!
In August 2018 while out making a delivery in the Indianapolis area, he was hit by a semi while driving his box truck on the interstate. The truck he was driving was pushed off the road and flipped two times hitting a tree. The engine was pushed 2 feet back through the firewall and cut off his leg below the knee.
At that time, he did not know the extent of the damage, however, he put on a tourniquet, and started to treat for shock as he was trained during his 21 years in the military.
Once the paramedics and fire department arrived, it took 45 minutes to cut away the top of the truck. The firemen had to hand in reverse hydraulic jacks to help push the engine off of his leg. The firemen were able to free our charity president from the truck with a mere 5% chance of surviving the accident.
When he arrived at the emergency room, he was still alert and able to talk to the doctors briefly. It took thirteen major surgeries, and six months fighting three major infections in the hospital, before he was able to go home.  Once the infections finally cleared up, the doctors released him from the hospital with a long road to recovery ahead.
At that time, our charity president went home with no plans for his future endeavors. However, he did have a dream of opening a charity to help Veterans.
During that year of recovery, working through rehab and learning to walk again, he opened a vending machine company. This vending machine company gave him hope of once again having a successful business. As he gained strength, moving around the vending machines, and dealing with customers, his dream of having a charity to help veterans began to grow. After growing his vending machine business to 50 machines, he started working for another veteran charity part time.

The charity that he was working for, started taking his ideas and growing, which gave him hope of one day having his own charity. Over time he dedicated more time to the charity than he had available to continue the vending machine business.
He sold his vending machine business and dedicated all of his time for the next 19 months to the charity he was working for. During those 19 months, he learned many of the processes he needed to open his own veteran charity.
Then on February 26, 2024, he filed the paperwork for his articles of organization, state registration, and EIN, which were approved by the state of Indiana. From there his charity has registered and grown to Ohio, and Michigan.
He has the hope of growing Veterans Support Network Inc. in all 50 states and helping millions of Veterans over the next 10 years.
Please join us on our journey as Veteran Support Network Inc. grows into something special!
